AFTER TREATMENT:

REACTIONS TO TREATMENT.

The treated joints usually feel more flexible and mobile after treatment. Muscles tend to relax, and symptoms are normally relieved. The majority of our patients report feeling less pain and symptoms right away, although some conditions may take more time. Occasionally, symptoms can change or get worse before they get better, especially in cases of complicated, persistent illnesses. The most common negative reaction to chiropractic care is general soreness following treatment. Chiropractic care leads the joints to move properly in ways they might not have moved in a long time, and just like if you were to work out your muscles after a long time of inactivity, soreness can follow. This soreness is not experienced by everyone, and is normally relieved by heat (a hot shower is suffice) or relieves itself within a day or so.

ADVICE AFTER TREATMENT.

We recommend walking for ten minutes following each chiropractic adjustment. Walking is a great way to ensure the treated joints can utilize their new proper movement patterns, and helps clear inflammation from the areas. It is also important to stay hydrated to maximize the therapeutic effects of the treatment.

Daily walks and proper hydration will help ensure you are on track to achieving and sustaining all your health goals!
